​We invite vendors - including farmers, growers, small batch prepared food producers, artisans and more – to review our policies and apply. Vendors applying for the 2025 season can apply online below. Please select the application based on the type of vendor you are below.
 
Vendors are required to review and abide by the Policies of the Waterdown Famers’ Market including the Code of Conduct as part of the application process – available below. 
 
We are always excited to grow our market and offerings to ensure an exciting, vibrant and diverse market. 
 
Applications received after the start of the Market season will be reviewed for suitable fit with the mix of our current season vendor roster - additional vendors may be admitted pending space availability.

DID YOU KNOW, THE WATERDOWN FARMERS’ MARKET: 

  • Operates from 8am-1pm every Saturday from late May into mid October
  • Hosted more than 1200 visitors on an average market day
  • Will operate for 22 Market Days this season 
  • Aims to host approximately 30 Market Vendors each week 
  • Employs Market staff and enlists the support of volunteers to help operate the Market
  • Seeks to enhance the market each week with live entertainment, kids' activities, engagement sessions, community groups and local business involvement. 
  • Advertises via online, social media, email, and website

Retaining and attracting new farmers as well as a variety of prepared foods remains key to our ability to host a lively, vibrant and diversified market, focused on farm values. We’re pleased to continue to expand on programs introduced in 2023 to help us further support and recruit participation from our local agricultural community and support food producers.

'UNIQUE' VENDOR REFERRAL BONUS

Know a grower or small batch food producer you think would be a great fit for our Market and would help fill gaps/diversify offerings in Waterdown? Encourage them to apply and indicate they were referred by you (your business) on their application. Referrals for accepted full season vendors in underrepresented categories will earn referring vendors a $75 bonus; referrals for accepted half season 'unique' vendors will earn you a $40 bonus. 

Current identified gaps (based on last year's vendor roster) include:

  • Fish / Seafood
  • VQA Ontario Cider​

Other 'unique' or underrepresented vendors may be given consideration. Referral bonuses to be paid out only for accepted referred vendors.

FOR NEW GROWERS ONLY
Are you a new grower looking to start-up and participate in our market on a trial basis? We may be able to assist with a loan or low cost rental of a tent and table (limited supplies – pending availability). Connect with Market Management for details.

Vendors are required to read and abide by the policies and code of conduct as outlined above. 

Farmers and other growers

It's our goal to provide the community with access to quality local food. The focus at the farmers' market is to support local agriculture. We have lots of ways we're encouraging growers to participate in our market this year. Learn more in the application.

Prepared Foods Vendors 

We seek small batch prepared foods to complement the market experience. Locally sourced, original, and sustainable practices are things we look for in this complementary category. Please use this application to be able to directly submit supporting documentation as a prepared food vendor. 

Artisan Vendors

We seek artisans to join our market primarily on an occasional basis to enhance the market experience. We seek original, hand-made art and crafts that support the market ideals of sustainability, originality, and Please submit your application indicating all dates that could work, but indicate how many in total you would like to attend. 

Community Tent

The Waterdown Farmer's Market welcomes non-profit and charity organizations to participate in our Market and meet with Market-goers to promote your local initiatives! Space is limited to one community tent per week. Please apply for your space using our Community Tent Online Application
